I love my job...I love my job....I love my job...I love my job.... I live my job....

My vocational training as electrician as well as some experiences as technician of events enabled me in 1988 to take part in outdoor productions at the BR (Bavarian Broadcasting Company) where I worked mainly on documentary and feature film. At this time I decided to become recording supervisor and went to the SRT (School for Radio Technology) to get my diploma as sound engineer. When video technology started to be used in television productions I decided to work freelance, just to stay closer to my desired profession.

Having worked as boom man and sound mixer for several years, I finally got my first job as sound recordist in 1994. A decision I have never regretted so far.

In 1995 I bought my first sound equipment and started to work with Fred Pietzner who is already in business for more than 30 years.

At any time I have been interested in the technique of sound editing and postproduction and attended several courses (ProTools, ProTools AV at the SRT in Nürnberg) in order to remain state-of-the-art.

Since 2004 my field of activity is mainly situated in the TV and movie area. For this reason I have added to my equipment an 8-track hard disc recorder as well as microphones for excellent location surround sound.
